Alley On Main is the only dedicated listening room for live music in Eastern Kentucky. We offer one of the most intimate settings in Kentucky to catch some of the biggest up-and-coming, regional, and nationally touring artists. Our top priority is to be the industry leader in our area for LIVE music.
We offer a delicious menu during our shows and performances and the most extensive selection of spirits and craft beer in the region.
The building that hosts Alley On Main was built in 1921 and was initially used as Paintsville's first movie theatre. Also attached to the building was a covered alleyway that once housed storefronts for other stores, which inspired the name "Alley On Main."
A lot of work went into turning the old, run-down building into one of the best music venues in the state. We didn't always know what we were doing, but we had the drive and the love for music that kept us going!
The Alley on Main opened on August 6th, 2021, just seven months after formulating the idea to open a music venue in Paintsville. Since then, we have held over 200 concerts, ranging from up-and-comers to Grammy Award winners to American Idol winners.
Some of the notable names that have played Alley On Main include Sierra Ferrell, Senora May, Nicholas Jamerson, Noah Thompson, Cole Chaney, 49 Winchester, Logan Halstead, American Aquarium, Kentucky Headhunters, Little Texas, Chance McCoy, and many, many more!
We encourage everyone to arrive early on show nights to get the best seats and start dinner before the performances. While we value good company and conversation, we ask that everyone please show respect to our artists when they are on stage and keep talking to a minimum. Not only does it distract the artist, but it can ruin the experience for others who have traveled to see the show.
An intimate concert series hosting regional and national artists. Our Listening Room Series shows focus on listening to and enjoying the music and artists.
These shows feature their own unique menu. We maintain certain guidelines for the audience during Listening Room Series shows, such as keeping talking to a minimum and utilizing only the front door during performances. These guidelines are in place to help keep the focus on the artist and their music.
